This is the extraordinary jurisdiction of the court exercised under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.
If any public servant is aggrieved by any action of the superior authorities which is adversely affecting his service prospects, he may knock the door of the Allahabad High Court against the action of the superior authorities.
Any public servant can file a writ petition before Allahabad High Court challenging the order of suspension, dismissal, removal, reduction in rank, termination of his service. In case, authorities have taken any arbitrary action in granting any benefit to the public servant, that action can also be challenged by means of a writ of certiorari. If the higher authorities are not taking any action in the matter of any public servant for which they are bound by any statute, the writ of mandamus is filed by the aggrieved public servant before the Allahabad High Court.
Writ A is also filed before Allahabad High Court challenging the transfer orders mainly on the ground of it being without jurisdiction, mala fide, or contrary to a statutory provision.
Writ A also encompasses writs filed respecting rent control law.
