WHAT IS F.A.F.O?

First appeal from order, lies before the High Court under the Allahabad High Court Rules 1952 from an order which may be interlocutory order which decides an issue finally but not the issue in question. That means the main proceeding is pending before the court but an issue has been decided finally adversely affecting one of the parties.

First Appeal from Order is admitted on a question of law before the High Court and the procedure regarding preparation of paper book as per the high court rules is also applicable in the case of first appeal from order. Hence, the procedure to file a First Appeal before the High Court is also followed in the filing of F.A.F.O.
