The Assistant Registrar, Firms, Chits, and Societies has no authority or jurisdiction to set aside the election of the office-bearers of any society, however, in case, any dispute is raised with regard to the election of office-bearers of any society, the Registrar may examine the bonafide and genuineness of the said dispute and if he is satisfied that the dispute is bonafide in that case the Assistant Registrar, Firms, Chits, and Societies is required to refer the said dispute to the Prescribed Authority. In the State of Uttar Pradesh, the Deputy Collector of the concerned Division has been nominated as Prescribed Authority and the Prescribed Authority shall adjudicate the dispute in accordance with the law.
